I have been a massage therapist and bodyworker since graduating from Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in 2006.

Techniques I use are non-invasive, are done with clothes on, and aim to reduce pain, increase range of motion, and improve posture by reprogramming neurological signals that cause involuntary muscle contractions.

    What does that mean?

We will work on very deep muscles and complicated structural issues without pain.

    How do we do that?

    1. we find muscles that are stuck in a contracted (tight) position that may be causing discomfort or structural issues.

We do this by finding painful spots that in the muscle that hurt to the touch.

    2. We use the spots that we found as a guide to find the stuck position the muscle is in.

We know the muscle is in the right position when the tender spot is no longer tender.

    3. The therapist will then hold this muscle in this position for 90 seconds - 2 minutes as your body relaxes, your nervous system settles, and the muscle lets go.

    4. Repeat for all muscles contributing to the discomfort/issue to be treated.

  • All bodywork sessions are done with clothes on.

Please wear comfortable clothing that you are able to easily move and stretch in (examples: t-shirt, tank top, sweatpants, yoga pants, etc.).

  • Before your session:

  • Usually, clients feel some relief after their first session.

How many sessions you need will depend on the complexity of the issue and how long you have had the issue.

I do not intend for people to see me forever for the same issue.

Most people feel some immediate relief and do not need more than 6-8 sessions. Again, it does depend on the client and the complexity of the issue, how many sessions you will need.

  • For the most effective treatment, weekly sessions are recommended.

  • After your session:

Do not stretch the areas we worked for 48 hours.

You may be sore from your session. This is normal and will subside after a few days. Please contact us if you have any unexpected issues following your session.
