Hi. I am Michelle.
I’m a somatic psychotherapist and bodyworker based in Louisville, Colorado (Boulder County). I specialize in helping adults and adolescents heal from trauma, stress, and disconnection through body-based, trauma-informed therapy.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, disconnected, or weighed down by experiences that feel hard to name or move through. You might have tried to “think your way” out of the pain, but still feel something unresolved deep inside. Through somatic therapy, I help clients gently access the body’s wisdom — supporting you in releasing old patterns, restoring connection, and learning to feel safe in your own skin again.
My approach is trauma-informed, body-centered, and relational. Together, we’ll work slowly and collaboratively, honoring your pace and capacity. I offer a grounded, compassionate presence to help you navigate difficult emotions, regulate your nervous system, and rediscover your innate resilience.
Before opening my private practice, I spent several years working as a therapist in the criminal justice system with both adults and adolescents, as well as in residential treatment settings. These experiences taught me how to stay calm and centered in moments of crisis — a quality that now supports my work with clients processing intense emotions, trauma responses, or complex life histories.
I’ll be genuine in our sessions, and I invite you to do the same…
That’s how we Weave Connections.
Why I became a therapist
I’ve always been someone others turn to—calm under pressure, a good listener, and someone people naturally confide in. In my twenties, a back injury opened my eyes to the deep connection between mind and body. I noticed how pain intensified with stress and how emotional strain showed up physically. That experience inspired me to begin helping others through massage therapy and bodywork.
After a decade in that field, I realized that true healing requires more than physical work alone. My clients often shared their emotional struggles, and I wanted to support them on a deeper level. That led me to pursue a degree in social work and eventually to discover somatic psychotherapy—a holistic approach that integrates body and mind. My journey brought me to Colorado to study somatic counseling, where I’ve found a way to bring all of these threads together in my work today.
